The Boat

Royal Eagle is an Offshore 105, A well respected, purpose built, and designed, charter boat. Powered by an Iveco 320hp engine, she cruises at a comfortable 16 knots, with a top speed, if needed, in excess of 21 knots. Royal Eagle is Fully Insured and Licensed and has a full Code of Practice, as one would expect from a vessel of this quality, full safety equipment, including a liferaft is carried as standard.

Royal Eagle is comprehensively fitted out with some of the very latest in marine electronics, including 2 x V.H.F./D.S.C. Radios, Daylight Viewing Radar for the safety of all on board. 3 x G.P.S. Navigators for pinpoint accuracy, and a Colour Chart Plotter for precise drifting and mark finding. 2 x colour fish finders complement this package. Autopilot is fitted to help in those long distance trips.

Rod hire is available and bait can be arranged at cost

This well proven, comfortable and safe boat has a very large deck area for comfort and space, with some under cover seating, a proper sea toilet for added comfort, and with the benefit of a red-hot kettle!!

The Skipper

Alan Edwards has been sea fishing for well over 35 years, many of them as a very successful charter skipper. He has had much experience in fishing the South Coast, having worked from both Shoreham and Newhaven Harbours before settling in Brighton Marina some 15 years ago. Alan is a fully Qualified D.O.T. Boat Master, and has Sea Survival, Radio and First Aid certificates. Alan will be pleased to help should you require assistance or advice.

Trips

We do all the principle types of fishing, wreck, rough and open ground fishing, as well as specialising in species hunts, including tope and smoothhound in the summer with black bream fishing being particularly popular, in the winter we specialise in cod fishing. Alan will do his best to accommodate your wishes should a particular species be targeted. Whilst encouraging conservation, we are quite happy to advise and help in preparing your catch for the table. The local area does produce a vast mixture of species, and consistently produces some of the finest sport fishing on the South coast

Size of Parties

So as to give everybody space we limit the size of parties to a maximum of 10 anglers, years of experience has shown that people don't like to be squeezed aboard.

All people are welcome, especially smaller groups and individuals, ladies are also welcome. Disabled Anglers are encouraged to participate.

Club and species competions can be arranged and if required bait is also available
